This week, lots of our learning has been about the Gunpowder Plot.
We have looked at lots of different firework poems.
We read them. Our favourite was Crackle! Spit! Sophia
We made firework pictures. Theo
We used the iPads, scratch art, chalks and pencils to make our pictures. We also used the instruments to make music to go along to the firework clips we watched.
We used our senses - we wrote what we might smell, see,
hear and feel when we watch fireworks. James and Ben
In dance, we pretended to be firework shapes and show how we exploded. Lyla
We learnt about the Gunpowder Plot. Mollie
There was a plan to kill the King. Charles
Now we celebrate that Guy Fawkes' plan failed. Sam
Today, we have come to school wearing bright clothes. We have learnt that we need to wear bright colours when it is getting dark.
Then cars and bikes can see us - Thomas
Our Home Learning this week is to read the blog - we hope you are enjoying it :)
Please remember to send back the questionnaire too.
Each child needs to bring in a box (cereal/shoe box etc) for our design and technology work.
This week, Thomas was given the Star Award for being really helpful and responsible around the classroom by helping Mrs McLellan and his friends. Well done, and thank you Thomas.
William is taking Snowy home today. He has been a great learning owl, taking responsibility for his learning and working really hard to challenge himself. He has been to show other teachers his great maths work and showed the rest of the class the work he did in English. Well done William - have a great weekend with Snowy.
